BOPET film is a biaxially oriented polyester film, primarily composed of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). It is manufactured by first extruding PET into sheet form, then processing it through biaxial stretching and heat setting procedures. The biaxial orientation results in BOPET film having high tensile strength and thermal stability in both the transverse and longitudinal directions. BOPET film possesses excellent mechanical properties, barrier characteristics, optical performance, and dimensional stability. It is widely used in various fields including electronic products, photovoltaics, food packaging, and labeling.
In addition, composite BOPET films that have undergone surface treatment or have been coated with other functional materials, such as metallized films or aluminum oxide-coated high barrier films, can provide enhanced barrier properties for various application fields.
