Adhesive PET lenticular sheet is a transparent PET lens sheet with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer applied to the back. Buyers print 3D, flip, or motion graphics on a printed substrate, then laminate the printed substrate to the adhesive side of the lenticular sheet - producing a finished lenticular print where the lens layer is permanently bonded to the printed image without separate mounting hardware or external adhesive.

This page covers the 75 LPI and 100 LPI versions specifically. These are the two most commonly chosen lens pitches for adhesive lenticular work. If you need lenticular sheet without adhesive backing for separate lamination workflows, see our main 3D lenticular PET sheet page. If your application is specifically UV printing on lenticular substrate, see our PET 3D lenticular sheet for UV printing page. This page focuses on the adhesive-backed 75/100 LPI variant where the adhesive backing is the key buying feature.

ONE PLASTIC manufactures adhesive PET lenticular sheet in standard sizes and custom dimensions for printers, packaging converters, and promotional graphic producers worldwide.

What Is Adhesive PET Lenticular Sheet?

Adhesive PET lenticular sheet has three layers:

Lenticular Lens Layer (Top): A clear PET sheet extruded with a precisely shaped surface of parallel cylindrical lenses on the top side. Each lens magnifies and directs different image strips printed underneath as the viewer's angle changes - creating 3D depth, flip, or motion effects.

Smooth Bonding Surface: The underside is smooth, providing the surface where the printed image is bonded.

Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive (Bottom): A peel-and-stick adhesive layer with a release liner. The release liner is removed at the moment of lamination, exposing the adhesive that bonds directly to the printed substrate.

This is a different workflow from non-adhesive lenticular sheet. With non-adhesive sheet, the printer either prints directly on the back of the lens sheet, or applies a separate adhesive or laminator at the bonding stage. With adhesive sheet, the bonding adhesive is already part of the product - the only step is peel, align, and press.

For buyers running short-run, on-demand, or low-volume lenticular print jobs, adhesive backing simplifies production significantly because there is no separate adhesive application equipment required.

75 LPI vs 100 LPI: Which Lens Pitch Should You Choose?

LPI stands for "lenses per inch" - the number of cylindrical lenses across one inch of sheet width. The two most common pitches for adhesive lenticular work are 75 LPI and 100 LPI, and they target different print outputs:

Factor 75 LPI 100 LPI
Lens Density 75 lenses per inch (coarser) 100 lenses per inch (finer)
Best Effect Stronger 3D depth, dramatic motion Finer detail, sharper appearance, smoother flips
Optimal Viewing Distance Greater - typically 3-6 ft (1-2 m) Closer - typically 1-3 ft (0.3-1 m)
Print Resolution Required Lower print resolution can produce good results Higher print resolution needed for clean output
Typical Use Posters, retail displays, packaging hero graphics, larger-format 3D Postcards, business cards, small premium graphics, fine-detail flip effects
Visible Lens Lines More visible at close viewing Less visible at close viewing - smoother surface appearance

When to choose 75 LPI

  • The finished print will be viewed from across a room or aisle (retail signage, hanging displays)

  • The 3D depth effect is the main selling feature

  • Print equipment runs at moderate resolution

  • Larger-format lenticular pieces (poster-size and above)

When to choose 100 LPI

  • The finished print will be held in hand or viewed close-up (cards, brochure inserts, premium product packaging)

  • Smooth visual appearance matters more than dramatic depth

  • Print equipment can deliver high-resolution output cleanly

  • Small-format lenticular pieces (cards, labels, packaging panels)

Quick decision rule

If you cannot tell which one to order, request samples in both pitches and view them at your intended distance with sample art. The right choice is usually obvious within a few minutes of comparison.

Printing and Lamination Workflow

The advantage of adhesive PET lenticular sheet is the simplified workflow:

  1. Prepare the Interlaced Image: Combine your source frames into a single interlaced image using lenticular software, matching your sheet's LPI specification

  2. Print the Interlaced Image: Print onto your printed substrate (paper, vinyl, or printable PET) at the resolution required for your target LPI

  3. Allow Print to Dry: Inks should be fully cured/dried before lamination - this prevents bubbles or adhesion issues at the bonding stage

  4. Peel the Release Liner: Remove the release liner from the back of the lenticular sheet to expose the adhesive

  5. Align the Lenses with the Print: Position the lens sheet over the printed substrate with the interlaced lines parallel to the lenses - alignment is critical for clean 3D/flip output

  6. Apply Pressure: Press evenly across the sheet to bond, ideally with a roller or laminator to remove air bubbles

  7. Trim to Final Size: Cut the bonded sheet to your finished card, label, or panel size

Compatible Printing Methods:

  • UV printing (most common for lenticular work)

  • Offset printing (for high-volume lenticular runs)

  • Digital inkjet (for small runs and prototyping)

For UV printing specifically, see our PET 3D lenticular sheet for UV printing page, which covers UV-specific surface preparation and ink compatibility considerations.

Common Applications

3D Cards and Postcards

Greeting cards, promotional postcards, business cards, and commemorative cards with 3D depth, flip image, or motion effects. 100 LPI is the more common choice for this application because cards are held close to the viewer.

Labels and Stickers

Branded labels, premium product stickers, and decorative adhesive graphics where the lenticular effect adds shelf appeal. The adhesive backing is particularly useful here because the finished sticker can be applied directly to the product.

Promotional Displays

In-store retail displays, point-of-sale signage, and trade show graphics. 75 LPI is typically better for promotional displays because viewers are at a distance.

Packaging Decoration

Lenticular panels integrated into product packaging - cosmetics boxes, premium packaging, and limited-edition product designs. The adhesive backing simplifies integration with existing carton or box assembly.

Anti-Counterfeit and Visual-Effect Graphics

Lenticular markers used as anti-counterfeit elements, brand authentication features, and visual-effect graphics where the dynamic appearance acts as both decoration and verification.

How This Page Differs From Our Other Lenticular Sheet Pages

The lenticular cluster on our site is structured around buyer intent:

Page Role
3D lenticular PET sheet Broad lenticular PET material page - all LPI options, all formats, general information
PET 3D lenticular sheet for UV printing Process-specific page - UV printing on lenticular substrate
This page (Adhesive 75/100 LPI) Adhesive-backed variant page - peel-and-stick lenticular sheet in the two most popular LPI specifications

If you have already decided you need adhesive backing and are choosing between 75 and 100 LPI, this page is the right fit. If you are still exploring lenticular as a material option, or your workflow uses separate lamination, the broader pages are better starting points.

Why Choose ONE PLASTIC?

Factory-Direct Lenticular Sheet Production: We manufacture PET lenticular sheet on dedicated lens-extrusion lines with controlled lens pitch, optical clarity, and surface quality. Our PET sheet production capacity supports both standard sheet orders and custom configurations.

LPI Consistency Batch to Batch: Lens pitch tolerance is critical for lenticular work - inconsistent LPI means the print interlace will not align with the lenses, ruining the 3D effect. Our production is monitored for LPI consistency across batches.

Adhesive Quality: The pressure-sensitive adhesive is selected for clean removal of the release liner, predictable tack, and bubble-free bonding when properly applied. Adhesive type can be discussed at order time if you have specific bonding requirements.

Surface Protection: Sheets are supplied with protective film on the lens side to prevent scratches during shipping and handling. The film is removed at lamination time.

Custom Sheet Sizes: Beyond standard A4 and A3, we offer cut-to-size service for buyers with non-standard finished dimensions.

Sample Support: We provide samples for evaluation before bulk orders, including sample interlaced print tests on customer-supplied artwork if needed.

ISO 9001 Certified: Routine batch testing is performed for thickness tolerance, lens pitch, optical clarity, and adhesive performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is 75 LPI PET lenticular sheet used for?

75 LPI is most often used for larger-format lenticular pieces viewed from a distance - retail signage, hanging displays, posters, and large packaging hero graphics. The coarser lens pitch produces stronger 3D depth at typical viewing distances of 3 ft and beyond.

What is the difference between 75 LPI and 100 LPI?

LPI is the number of lenses per inch. 75 LPI has fewer, larger lenses - producing dramatic 3D depth and motion effects best viewed from a distance. 100 LPI has more, smaller lenses - producing finer detail and smoother appearance best viewed up close. For cards and small graphics held in hand, 100 LPI is typical. For posters and displays viewed from across a room, 75 LPI is typical.

Does this sheet have adhesive backing?

Yes. This page covers the adhesive-backed variant specifically. The back of the sheet has a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer with a release liner. To bond the sheet to a printed substrate, peel the release liner and press the sheet onto the print surface. For non-adhesive lenticular sheet, see our main 3D lenticular PET sheet page.

Can it be used for UV printing?

Yes - the lens sheet is compatible with UV printing on the back surface (before lamination), or you can print on a separate substrate with UV inks and then bond using the adhesive backing. For UV printing workflow specifically, see our PET 3D lenticular sheet for UV printing page.

How do I align the lenses with my printed image?

Alignment is the most critical step in lenticular production. The interlaced lines on your print must run parallel to the cylindrical lenses on the sheet. Most professional lenticular workflows use registration marks during printing and a roller or laminator with alignment guides during bonding. Misalignment by even a few degrees can ruin the 3D or flip effect. Sample testing on a small piece is strongly recommended before full production.

Can ONE PLASTIC supply custom sheet sizes?

Yes. Beyond A4 and A3 standard sizes, we offer cut-to-size service for buyers with non-standard finished dimensions. Tell us your final card, label, or panel size and we can pre-cut sheets to specification.

What is the shelf life of the adhesive?

Adhesive performance is best when the sheet is used within a reasonable time after delivery. Store sheets flat, in a cool dry place, with the release liner intact. For specific shelf life information based on your storage conditions, contact our sales team.

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ varies by sheet size, LPI, and any custom specifications. For standard sizes in 75 or 100 LPI, MOQ is typically manageable for mid-size print converters. Contact us with your specific requirements for a quote.
